The Accuro Jersey Triathlon has raised over £36,000 for its official charities since 2014. We are delighted to announce that in 2026 the event will support Sepsis Research FEAT, in support of Lily McGarry as well as local charity Brighter Futures.
Sepsis Research FEAT not only raises awareness about sepsis, but also directly funds world-leading research designed to improve outcomes for sepsis patients and their families. Their work helps drive earlier diagnosis, better treatments, and ultimately saves lives - here in the UK and across the world. Local islander Lily McGarry, was diagnosed with meningococcal septicaemia which developed into septic shock, resulting in her losing all four limbs. Lily, whilst still in recovery, has become an official ambassador of Sepsis Research FEAT and you can read more of her story here.
Brighter Futures is a local charity supporting parents, families and young people in Jersey. They provide coordinator support alongside a number of Free programmes and services to help support the parents and carers they meet. Since 2008, Brighter Futures has supported over 4,000 families, benefitting over 15,000 Islanders. Working alongside the main carer, their educational model provides them with ways to thrive.
